Located a block from the University of Houston campus, this 147 bed project has the scale of a boutique hotel. Sharing amenities with the adjacent project allowed freedom in the design.  The Annex makes use of the small footprint by stacking three stories of wood frame over two stories of parking.  Unit types include efficiency and micro units to maximize the use of the space with convertible furniture - beds fold up behind the sofa and movable partitions allow students greater flexibility with the space.
